RAC Mobile Mechanic

Join the RAC. Together, we re going places. A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings of up to £50,000. A guaranteed overtime option increases your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities. 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30am to 5pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

As a RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We ll equip you for success from day one with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit, all provided.

You like mixing things up. Every day is a little different with servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and checks. But it doesn’t stop there: you ll manage your stock, do your reporting, and keep those customer conversations flowing. You think on your feet, making the right call for each customer.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
