Mechanical Technician

Are you ready to join a fast-growing division within the construction support industry? We are working with a respected client who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to help maintain and service their specialist plant equipment to the highest standard. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering long-term stability for the right candidate.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring equipment is safe, compliant and fully operational before going out to customers.

• Carrying out equipment repairs and pre-hire inspections
• Performing routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Working across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Completing service and inspection tasks across a wide range of equipment
• Ensuring assets meet high standards of functionality, cleanliness and compliance
• Working primarily on towed assets, including:
  • Coil pipe trailers
  • Cable drum trailers
  • Cable winches
• Supporting 12-weekly inspections and following established processes and procedures

• Mon–Thu : 7 : 30am – 5 : 00pm
• Fri : 7 : 30am – 4 : 00pm

• 15 minutes at 10 : 30am & 3 : 30pm
• 1-hour lunch (unpaid) 12 : 00pm – 1 : 00pm

• Experience or strong understanding within plant hire, mechanical maintenance, or equipment servicing
• Supportive team player with a positive, proactive attitude
• Self-motivated with the flexibility to adapt to a busy working environment
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial but not essential
