Your impactWe’re looking for a talented Price Analyst professional to join our collaborative team and alongside leading industry partners. In this role, you’ll take ownership of consolidating, interpreting, and analysing costing data—ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual pricing principles. Your insights will directly influence key financial reporting and support critical business decisions.
You will work as part of the integrated project team, providing guidance and expertise to Work Package Leads to help them understand key cost drivers and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance affordability. The role may also include opportunities to interact and collaborate with our national and international partners, as well as occasional travel to Reading when required.

Responsibilities- Lead the allocation, reconciliation, and generation of all external cost reports across our diverse portfolio of programmes on a monthly basis.
- Deliver actionable insights by analysing cost data and providing clear recommendations to Work Package Managers.
- Represent Leonardo UK on a global stage, presenting and engaging with national and international partners to ensure transparency and collaboration.
- Drive innovation in reporting by supporting the development of interactive dashboards that enable internal stakeholders to review and interpret data effectively.
- Collaborate within a high-performing team, reporting directly to the Portfolio Cost Lead and contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including strong capability with functions such as SUMIFS, LOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and SUMPRODUCT.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, with a talent for turning data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all outputs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and partners.
- Proactive and logical mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive improvements.
- Ability to adapt and re-prioritise in a dynamic environment to meet critical deadlines.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality outputs and providing outstanding support to stakeholders.
- Experience using Power Query in Excel for data import, transformation, and process automation.
- ERP system experience, ideally with SAP.
- Knowledge of QDC reporting and AAR principles, ensuring compliance and accuracy in cost analysis.
- Proficiency in dashboard development, particularly using Power BI for data visualisation.
- Understanding of project management principles, including life‑cycle management.
- Experience in change management and continuous improvement, applying tools and techniques to drive efficiency and innovation.
This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
