Overview
Volunteering with St John Ambulance strengthens communities. From youth support and education to wellbeing, events, and fundraising; your time makes a real impact.
Do you want to help the youth of today become the lifesavers of tomorrow? We're on a mission to teach young people across the country how to save lives. It's a chance for them to learn important first aid skills in a fun, friendly, and safe environment.
St John is one of the largest youth organisations in the country and many of our young volunteers go onto careers in health and/or social care.
Responsibilities and expectations- Support and develop our young volunteers (Badger age 5-10; Cadets age 11–17) in a positive, inclusive environment.
- Attend weekly meetings during term time (at least 2 meetings per month).
- Be available for 2 hours in an evening, once a week during school term times.
- Take part in and complete training; support your own skill development and CV.
- Dedicated and enthusiastic youth helper; interests in activities such as Crafting, Singing/Dancing, History, Science, or caring for people/animals are welcome.
- Must be able to attend meetings and courses when they become available.
