Junior ICT Consultant – Overview

The Junior ICT Consultant role at turn IT on involves supporting schools in Luton by maintaining IT hardware, software, and network services to improve ICT provision.

Salary: £21,000 - £26,000
. Working full‑time throughout the year.

• Maintain all IT hardware and services across the schools’ sites.
• Install and repair computers with standardised applications and networking software.
• Provide technical support for users, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
• Install, upgrade and support devices such as iPads, printers, scanners, projectors and PA/AV lecterns.
• Assist schools in improving ICT standards to enhance teaching and learning.
• Communicate with schools and manage customer accounts, keeping schools informed of services offered.
• Document technical solutions and manage technical issues that impact school operations.
• Act as a proactive team player with strong communication and organisational skills.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a previous ICT Technician or 2nd line support role, preferably within the education sector.

Strong technical background and self‑motivation with excellent customer service orientation.

Good knowledge of common user applications and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Ability to work independently, problem‑solve, and identify ways to improve services.
