Salary: £45,000-£50,000 – dependent on experience
The Company
A growing UK-based organisation is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join its HR function on a 12-month fixed term basis. This is a hands-on, operational role offering real ownership of employee relations activity and the opportunity to work closely with managers across multiple sites.
The role is ideal for a confident, pragmatic HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, supporting managers through complex people matters, and making a tangible impact during a period of change and growth.
The Role
Reporting into senior HR leadership, the HR Officer will provide day-to-day HR support across the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to line managers and employees.
You will take full ownership of employee relations casework, supporting managers through a broad range of people issues while helping to build internal capability and consistency in people management.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the full lifecycle of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and capability matters
· Act as the escalation point for complex ER issues, providing clear, practical, and commercially focused advice
· Support and coach line managers to improve confidence and effectiveness in people management
· Work closely with HR colleagues on day-to-day HR operations and shared priorities
· Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practice
· Support change management initiatives, including restructures and organisational change
· Ensure all HR activity remains compliant with UK employment legislation
· Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and case management files
· Build strong working relationships across multiple sites and business functions
About You
· CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum requirement)
· Proven, hands-on employee relations experience with the ability to manage cases independently
· Previous line management or supervisory experience within an HR environment
· Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
· Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement
· Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
· Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organisation
· Experience supporting business growth, change, or transformation is highly advantageous
What’s On Offer
· Salary up to £50,000 per annum
· 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
