Overview

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical Psychologist to work across 3 mental health services based in the Luton, Bedfordshire area. You will be working for one of UK s leading healthcare providers. These care homes deliver a comprehensive rehabilitation pathway that extends beyond early recovery, enabling you to support residents over the longer term and experience the reward of seeing them progress toward independence and discharge.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you must have BPS recognised psychology degree(s) + HCPC Registered + Chartered Psychologist status

Responsibilities
  • Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service
  • Undertaking high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions
  • Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods
  • Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients  mental health needs based on a multifactorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice
  • Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care
  • Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
  • Experience applying psychological knowledge to clinical/neuro settings
  • Experience working with clients with cognitive deficits
  • Experience conducting research and project work
