Join a world-leading manufacturer where you'll take ownership of improving how products are built - across machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly. You'll analyse processes, remove bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase throughput using modern Lean and CI methodologies.
This is a hands-on, data-driven role with real influence on quality, efficiency, and cost.
What you'll be doing as Manufacturing Process Engineer
Drive Lean and CI initiatives across the shop floor (Kaizen, SMED, DMAIC, 5S, VSM)
Develop and optimise end‑to‑end processes in machining (CNC, milling, turning), welding/fabrication, and mechanical assembly
Introduce standardised work, visual management, and robust process controls
Implement Poka‑Yoke and error-proofing solutions
Support NPI activities from prototype through to volume manufacture (DFM/DFA, build plans, SOPs)
Specify, commission, and validate new tooling, jigs, fixtures, equipment, and test systems
Lead process-focused cost reduction projects and value engineering activities
Prepare Cap Ex justifications including ROI/NPV/payback analysis
Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to deliver process improvements
What you'll bring as Manufacturing Process Engineer
Essential
HND/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related engineering discipline
Background in volume or batch production of engineered products
Strong Lean/CI problem‑solving (RCA, 8D, DMAIC) with measured results
Understanding of fixtures, tooling, automated assembly, and test systems
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
Desirable
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
Experience delivering Cap Ex projects or installing production equipment
Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC
Who you are
Analytical, structured, and comfortable owning process performance. You communicate well across functions, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and enjoy turning data into real, shop‑floor improvements.
