Teaching Assistant

- The Role

This school is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with additional needs. For this Teaching Assistant role, the school would ideally like someone with previous healthcare experience such as working in care homes, hospitals, or supporting individuals with physical or complex needs. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils with personal care, mobility, and communication needs while also assisting the teacher with classroom activities and learning support.

The Teaching Assistant will work with pupils both on a 1 to 1 basis and in small groups to ensure they receive the support needed to access the curriculum. This is a long-term role starting ASAP with the potential to become a permanent position within the school.

Teaching Assistant - The School

This is a specialist SEN school in Luton catering for pupils with a range of needs including ASD, PMLD, and complex medical needs. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop independence and life skills. The school has a strong multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and support staff who work closely together to provide the best possible support for each pupil.
