Are you a compassionate and resilient professional with a passion for supporting young people who face challenges in mainstream education? We're seeking a dedicated PRU Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive Pupil Referral Unit setting in Luton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or youth mentor who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to make a meaningful impact by working with students who require additional behavioural, emotional, and academic support.

In this full-time, permanent position, you will:

• Support students who have been referred from mainstream schools due to behavioural or emotional difficulties
• Work closely with small groups or 1:1 to provide tailored academic and pastoral support
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
• Help students build self-esteem, manage behaviour, and re-engage with learning
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that supports emotional growth and academic progress

• Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to education
• Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a strong presence and positive attitude
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
• Experience working with students with SEMH, behavioural needs, or in PRU/alternative settings is desirable
• Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or care are an advantage but not essential
