Job Description

Newstaff Employment Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Manager on behalf of our client, to lead and oversee contract management processes for various construction projects.

In this critical role, you will ensure that all contractual responsibilities are met, working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will lead the negotiation of contracts, manage relationships, address claims and disputes, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction contract law, and a proven track record in contract management within the construction sector.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from preparation and negotiation to execution and closeout.
  • Review and assess contract documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts and project execution.
  • Resolve disputes and claims through effective negotiation and communication.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared and maintained in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry laws, regulations, and best practices related to contract management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Contract Law, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Contract Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and legal terminology.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CCM, CPCM) is a plus.
