Overview

Talent Acquisition Partner | Direct Sourcing Expert | Driving DEIB in Hiring – ADI Global Distribution is seeking an experienced, commercially confident Key Accounts Manager to manage and develop a select portfolio of high-value, national accounts across the UK and Ireland.

You will manage all aspects of engagements with existing and new customers for the ADI Global Distribution organization. You will build relationships, understand customer business, and provide appropriate products and solutions. You will define sales and growth strategy toward key customers, align with critical sales objectives, identify opportunities, and deliver value through product knowledge. You will increase overall performance by creating strong customer relationships and new partnerships, developing ADI’s presence and market share in designated accounts and territory, and driving continuous improvement in a premiere Sales Organization.

Job Duties

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Manage a small number of large, national accounts with complex needs and high strategic value
  • Lead and coordinate activity across branches, internal teams, and supplier partners to ensure smooth delivery
  • Develop strategic account plans, growth roadmaps, and structured business reviews (QBRs and annual planning)
  • Present confidently to senior decision-makers, demonstrating authority and commercial insight
  • Build and manage rebate structures, incentive programs, and joint business plans to drive partnerships

Sales Cycle Management

  • Identify opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects
  • Manage and plan accounts strategically to maximize growth
  • Negotiate and close deals that deliver mutual value
  • Articulate and deliver ADI’s value proposition effectively
  • Maintain momentum through the sales cycle and ensure timely execution

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Build deep relationships with senior stakeholders across customer organizations
  • Act as the central point of contact for strategic national accounts, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, marketing, category management, credit, operations) to deliver end-to-end account success
  • Maintain strong visibility and presence with internal and external stakeholders

Market Engagement & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on category trends, market innovations, and technical advancements
  • Lead customer presentations, strategy sessions, and senior meetings
  • Represent ADI at industry events, customer conferences, and key exhibitions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of national account frameworks and best practices

You Must Have

  • Relevant experience
  • Proven success in a B2B field sales or account management role
  • Experience managing large or high-value accounts
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with confidence in senior settings
  • Commercial acumen and experience with margin, profitability, and structuring deals
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland

We Value

  • Significant experience in a Sales/Account Management related field
  • Experience in security distribution, electrical wholesale, or trade-based B2B environments
  • Ability to build and manage rebate structures, incentive programs, or commercial agreements
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills at senior levels
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment
  • Collaborative, proactive, and organized approach
  • Curiosity and willingness to develop product and market expertise
