Johns Hopkins Ambulatory Surgery Centers provide high quality, convenient, same-day surgery and care, often at a lower cost than hospitals. Our ambulatory surgery centers are in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

The Sterile Processing Tech III inspects, cleans, assembles and sterilizes surgical instrument sets. Operates cleaning and sterilization equipment in order to clean instruments and supplies. Is proficient in the technical and quality performance metrics. Guides and assists IP I's and IP II's. Performs QA audits.
EducationMinimum requirement:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification, or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) certification, CRCST or CBSPD and CER or CFER, 2 certifications.
Work ExperienceMinimum three years instrument processing experience required. Must have demonstrated competence in all instrument set assembly and sterilization to include all specialties.
Salary RangeMinimum 23.00/hour - Maximum 37.97/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
