Operating from a state-of-the-art 27,000-square-foot facility, they blend skilled craftsmanship, advanced technology, and innovative approaches to deliver outstanding results. Their projects include large-scale installations in schools and hospitals, as well as bespoke designs for offices, hotels, and retail spaces. Job Summary
As the Controller, you will oversee the financial and administrative operations of Nova Wood Product, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This role involves collaborating with senior management to support strategic decisions, managing foreign exchange risk, and driving modernization efforts to enhance operational efficiency. You will also ensure compliance with U.S. state-specific financial regulations as Nova Wood Products expands into the U.S. market.

Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you are a skilled professional with a CPA designation or equivalent accounting certification and a degree/diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field. You will have 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment. A strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and job costing is essential, along with expertise in managing foreign exchange risk and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in accounting software, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and a track record of modernizing financial processes are key requirements. Familiarity with U.S. compliance regulations and ERP systems is an asset. Strong leadership, analytical abilities, and organizational skills, coupled with excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration abilities, round out the profile we’re looking for.
