I have over an hour drive and when they have called me off due to low census they have been very mindful of the drive.

• Beds: 34 (17 South Side, 17 North Side)
• 1 year minimum experience
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• Permanent staff must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler
• Travelers cannot live within a 75‑mile radius of the facility
• Patient Types:
  Medical – CHF, Diabetes, Dialysis, COPD, ETOH, IVDA;
  Telemetry – remote monitoring 24/7;
  General Surgical – Post‑operative and observation
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6, flexible up to 1:7 during surge (no above 1:7)

• BLS
• CPI or MOAB – required before start
• ACLS – preferred

• IV insertion, trach management, chest tube management, NG tube placement and management, feeding tubes, foley placement and management, wound care, dressing changes, central line management
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation – preferred

• CNA (ratio 1:8–9, can be 1:12)
• Unit secretary – day shift
• Telemetry suite with tele tech 24/7
• Charge nurse takes a patient load
• Hospitalist, RN in house 24/7 (RT on unit)
• Phlebotomy does most peripheral draws, nurses will draw central lines

• EPIC
• BD Alaris IV pumps
• Omnicell

• 1 day general orientation (badge, learning modules)
• 1–2 days on‑unit orientation

To any med‑surg unit and holding/overflow unit.

• Every other weekend expectation, rarely back‑to‑back weekends
• Shift times:
  Day 07:00–19:30;
  Night 19:00–07:30
• No self‑scheduling

Clinical team approves up to 7 days off; unit manager approval required for >7 days.

Assigned a holiday in rotation – RTO approval required for holidays.
