• Assure the best patient care possible by supervising the facility and directing the nursing staff during the shift.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating, and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
• Supervise nursing services for the facility during shift in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervise and assist nurses with patients during acute episodes.
• Deal with employee problems on a timely basis and document actions.
• Assume on‑call responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate.
• Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
• Provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in‑service training and other staff meetings as required.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff ensuring that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
• Read, know, and follow personnel, department and facility policies and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
