Industrial Maintenance Associate – International Paper
Electrical Maintenance Technician – Industrial Maintenance Associate. Candidate requirements and responsibilities listed below.
Qualifications- 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance with a concentration in Industrial Electrical Maintenance, or minimum of 5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance with a concentration in Electrical Industrial Maintenance.
- Knowledge of PLCs, servo motors and drives, general machine and fitting shop practice, maintenance troubleshooting, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and pipe fitting.
- Must pass math, reading, and mechanical aptitude test, drug screen, health assessment, and background check.
- Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime.
- Must upload resume.
- Installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair of container board plant machinery and equipment.
- Observe mechanical devices, dismantle, examine parts, inspect used parts, adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replace defective parts, installs special functional and structural parts in devices, lubricate and clean parts.
- Start devices to test performance, set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, band saw, milling machine, welder, and other metalworking tools.
- Move/position/release heavy weight equipment using mechanical means such as forklifts, pry bars, chain falls.
- Transport parts to/from work location and maintenance shop.
- Use hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, punches, screw drivers, pliers, pipe wrenches.
- Perform plant startup tasks, energize equipment, ensure operation.
- Clean machines with sandpaper, solvent, and wiping rags; oil and grease machine; install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures; replace damaged or broken wire and cables.
- Replace faulty electrical components, rewire motors, replace bearings.
- Plan layout and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Clean work area, tools, equipment.
- Utilize computer for work order entry and completion status; initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk or hear.
- Climb portable and fixed ladders and stairs; perform tasks at elevations and on elevated platforms.
- Work in confined areas or awkward positions.
- Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Must have good balance, hand, eye, foot coordination.
- Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, adjustable focus.
- Near machinery running up to 1,000 fpm with steel rolls, knives, slitter blades, belts, die cutters.
- Proximity to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gravitational, mechanical, chemical, and thermal energy sources.
- Exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, chemicals; occasional exposure to high temperatures 340-370°F and steam-injected vessels.
- Noise level typically 95 dB.
- Standard workday up to 12-hour shifts; rotating shifts and overtime.
