Shift: Nights 7 PM - 7 AM. No call required. Block scheduling requests are accepted.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive obstetrical care to patients during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills to ensure safe delivery of care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver care to Labor and Delivery patients.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and resolve patient care issues effectively.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately based on education and staff experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to staff involved in patient care.

• Current RN licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Experience with EMR systems: MEDHOST & GE Centricity.
• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity.
