Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators, developing and implementing automated and manual manufacturing processes, and utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators, developing and implementing automated and manual manufacturing processes, and utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields. You will apply your understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences, and use factory data to develop statistical process control approaches.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators
- Developing, implementing, and documenting manufacturing processes for electronic and electromechanical assemblies
- Utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields
- Defining operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence
- Developing statistical process control approaches and integrating reporting and data analytics solutions
This position requires the ability to support up to 10% of overtime annually as required to support program needs. This position may also require periodic weekend support.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess the ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
- Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field or Master s Degree
- Position requires the ability to support up to 10% of overtime annually as required to support program needs

- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems
- Experience with automation/robotics in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of Military specifications and standards
- Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
