Job Summary

Full-time, contract position based in Lufkin, TX. Must be licensed RN in Texas and reside within 50 miles of Lufkin. The contract is 13 weeks with a starting wage of $2,000.00 per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to labor and delivery patients.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions during labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Contribute to departmental goals and targets.
• Educate patients and families on labor and delivery processes.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
• Apply evidence‑based practices in patient care.
• Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately.
• Assist in developing care plans for patients.

• Manage time effectively to meet patient care needs.

Experience / Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• Experience in labor and delivery nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols.
• Strong communication skills for effective team collaboration.
• Proficiency in evaluating and implementing evidence‑based practices.
• Ability to educate patients and families clearly on labor and delivery processes.
• Accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Time management skills to meet patient care needs.
