Role SummaryCinemark Assistant Managers assist in overall operation, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments, support the General Manager, and may progress to Senior Assistant Manager and further roles after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working a minimum of six months.
Responsibilities- Follow direction of the General Manager.
- Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.
- Work in all departments and all theatre job functions.
- Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions.
- Assist in preparation of administrative and special reports.
- Observe and participate in inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, signage, and equipment.
- Report building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager.
- Ensure theatre Team Members follow the dress code.
- Interact with guests for improved service and ensure Team Members provide superior customer service.
- Learn and follow policies and procedures; enforce fairly and consistently.
- Report employee relations issues to the General Manager (or via required reporting protocol).
- Maintain high work ethic standard and code of conduct.
- Identify and sanitize high‑contact employee and guest areas.
- Utilize personal protective equipment appropriately.
- Adapt to cleaning task schedule.
- Address safety or security issues.
- Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
- Complete three basic courses in the Management Accreditation Program.
- Complete basic food handling training and any required local/state certification.
- Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training for those working with alcohol.
- Availability for flexible hours, evenings, weekends, holidays.
- Require regular and consistent attendance.
- Energetic and friendly attitude each shift.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities; effective English.
- Ability to work in team environment and independently.
- Follow direction.
- Sense of urgency.
- Excellent time management, organization, attention to detail.
- Ability to train and lead others.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching around the theatre.
