CMM Programmer​/Inspector

Position: CMM Programmer / Inspector
Job Description

In this position the CMM Program Engineer/ Inspector is responsible for creating CMM inspection programs from customer drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. The CMM Programmer also acts as lead inspector, carrying out first article, in-process, and final inspections as well as answering other inspector’s questions and giving guidance.

Responsibilities

Create, organize, and control CMM inspection programs

Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures

Complete first piece and first article inspections

Continuously improve older programs

Install programs on multiple CMM’s

Regular attendance is an essential function of this position as unscheduled absences would create undue hardship to the business in its effect on maintaining production numbers.

Experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines

Working knowledge of ISO
9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems

Working knowledge of GD&T

High School Diploma or GED
