Maintenance Engineering

Key Responsibilities    1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance   
· Prepare, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for metal fabrication machines.

· Develop predictive maintenance practices to reduce sudden breakdowns and optimize equipment life.
2. Breakdown Management   
· Respond promptly to machine failures and ensure quick restoration of production activities.

· Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
3. Equipment & Machinery Handling   
· Oversee maintenance of press brake machines, laser cutting machines, welding units, CNC/NC equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

· Ensure calibration, alignment, and performance optimization of sheet metal machinery.
4. Utilities Management   
· Maintain smooth functioning of plant utilities including compressors, DG sets, electrical systems, HVAC, and material handling equipment.

· Ensure compliance with safety and energy efficiency standards.
5. Documentation & Compliance   
· Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, calibration records, and spare inventory.

· Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards, statutory regulations, and safety norms.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination   
· Supervise maintenance technicians, assign tasks, and monitor performance.

· Coordinate with production, quality, and planning teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.

· Conduct training for operators on machine handling and basic troubleshooting.
7. Continuous Improvement   
· Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM activities within the maintenance department.

· Work on reducing downtime, maintenance costs, and power consumption.
