Accountant; Ghana - West

Position: Accountant (Ghana - West Africa)

Key Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily cash transactions and petty cash movements

.
• Enter invoices, payments, and receipts accurately into the accounting system

.
• Manage suppliers, service providers, and customer ledgers with strict accuracy

.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, including physical and electronic disbursements

.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure zero mismatches

.
• Liaise with banks for international transfers, LC documentation, and deposits

.
• Handle tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, WHT, SSNIT) and coordinate timely filings

.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

.
• Prepare management reports, balance sheets, and income statements

.
• Maintain organized documentation — both digital and physical

.
• Track service charge income, rent receivables, and update collections report

.
• Participate in year-end audit preparation and provide supporting schedules

.
• Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure transparency

.
• Perform import/export accounting (duty, clearing, FX reconciliation)

.
• Take ownership of systems improvement, not just daily maintenance

.

• Strong Excel and accounting software proficiency (Quick Books, Tally, or ERP)
