• Minimum age 17 years.
• High school diploma or GED (documentation required).
• Valid driver's license.
• One full year of high school algebra (or equivalent) with a grade of "C" or better.
• Qualifying score on an aptitude test.
• Honorably discharged veterans and individuals with prior electrical work/training may qualify for direct entry or interview.

Applicants meeting basic requirements will be interviewed and selected based on order of final ranking.

• Pass a drug screen.
• Pass a colorblind test.
• Acquire an apprentice license from the State of Texas, which includes a background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
