Concrete Carpenters

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Journeyman, Helper, and Laborer Concrete Carpenters for a commercial construction project in Haskell, TX. This is a 6+-month contract opportunity starting in mid-December with potential for extension based on project needs. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with concrete wall forming and footings on commercial job sites. Carpenters will be working 50-60 hours weekly, pay schedule is listed below and per diem is offered for those that are qualified!

Laborer: $20/hr-$22/hr

Concrete Carpenter: $30/hr-$34/hr

Carpenter Helper: $25/hr-$28/hr

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for the construction of concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated concrete slabs, elevator cores, stairways, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations and may aid in installing reinforcing steel
• Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenters level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring

Qualifications:

• Must have at least five years of commercial carpentry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings
• OSHA 10
