Description

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management. Assists with responsibility 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s) to meet the needs of the patient. Works closely with Nurse Manager to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications
  • Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Upon hire:
    Texas Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire:
    National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire:
    Lactation Specialist Certification - IBCLC preferred, CLC, or CBE (for Lactation Department Nurse Supervisor)
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • 2 years Clinical experience.
  • 3 years Emergency Department Nurse Supervisor:
    Emergency Department Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Emergency Department Nurse Supervisor:
    Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree Lactation Department Nurse Supervisor:
    Nursing
  • Upon hire:
    Specialty certification related to practice
  • Upon hire:
    Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (not required for Lactation Department Nurse Supervisor)
  • Upon hire: CEN, TNCC, ENPC (for Emergency Department Nurse Supervisor)
  • 2 years Perinatal

    Experience:

    Lactation Department Nurse Supervisor
  • Charge Nurse/leadership experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
