Registered Nurse Specialty Clinical Coach; CBOC-Lubbock

Position: Registered Nurse Specialty Clinical Coach (CBOC-Lubbock)
The Amarillo VA Health Care System is seeking a Clinical Coach Registered Nurse for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Lubbock, TX. The Registered Nurse will be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care; responsible for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.

The Clinical Coach position will be 80% clinical and 20% educational responsibilities for the following clinic:
Dermatology, Podiatry, Urology, Urology Nurse, PM&R, infusion, NTO-CVT Oncology, Pain CVT, UCC and Day Surgery.

The clinical duties consist of:

* Float coverage throughout of the specialty clinics.

The education duties consist of:

Nursing Service Orientation

Responsible for the quarterly competency fairs

Responsible to help start orientation for new staff and aid in training as needed in each of the clinics.

Follow up on orientation progress

Ensuring that the competencies are completed and filed appropriately.

This role is an essential part of the continuous delivery of high-quality care and the overall success of the Specialty Services.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m.

-4:30 p.m.)
