Description
Provides Orthopedic Trauma Surgery care to patients acting as an assistant to physicians in the clinic following established standards and practices with minimal supervision. Physician Assistants partner with Trauma Surgeons in the triage and evaluation of patients in the hospital and in the clinic. In the hospital, ordering of diagnostic imaging, medications, and posting for surgery is expected while on call.
In the clinic, the physician assistant performs evaluations, co‑plans with treatment plans, and carries out the appropriate plan.
- 6 days of 24‑hour call per month with Attending Physician and 3 days of clinic.
Duration:
Fulltime, No required travel except to and from work.
Minimum Education:
BA/BS/Undergraduate with appropriate certifications. Minimal experience is acceptable; orthopedic experience is preferred.
Salary: $140,000 base + Call Pay, experience considered.
