FCAW Welder

Overview

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Schedule: 45-65 hours per week (overtime required)
Location: Lubbock, TX

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Flux Core Welder to join our team. This position involves heavy welding in a fast-paced production environment and requires the ability to work extended hours, including overtime. Candidates must be comfortable working 45-65 hours per week as production demands fluctuate.

Responsibilities:

• Perform flux core (FCAW) welding on structural steel and/or fabricated components
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

• Previous flux core welding experience required
• Ability to pass a weld test
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work 45-65 hours per week

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/industrial setting
• Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise
• Steel-toe boots and appropriate PPE required
