POSITION: Maintenance Supervisor
SHIFT: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday (Overtime as required)
PAY RATE: $33 - $36 per hour (DOE) Full Benefit Package
LOCATION: Lubbock TX
Responsible for providing leadership to maintenance personnel and performing maintenance for True North Steel.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Assign appropriate personnel to perform scheduled maintenance and safety inspections on equipment throughout fabrication area and office.
- Review and correct labor reporting of employees in ERP system.
- Perform required maintenance and mentor Maintenance personnel.
- Perform annual performance reviews of direct reports
- Maintain records of maintenance and safety inspections performed.
- Order and maintain sufficient parts for equipment.
- Ability to communicate with area managers on status of equipment.
- Ability to communicate with equipment manufacturers to troubleshoot problems and order required parts.
- Ability to commit the employer in matters that have significant financial impact with prior approval from the Director of Capital Improvement.
- Make recommendations on maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Work at elevations up to 40
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (heat cold rain and wind).
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Read write & speak English.
- Computer skills.
- Read tape measure to 1/16.
- Understand/interpret electrical drawings and circuitry as well as having the ability to work on electrical apparatus.
- Understand the function of the various machines involved in TNS fabrication processes.
- Ability to perform a LOTO and document properly.
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and being dependable and trustworthy.
- Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment facilities materials as well as personnel.
- Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal and utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
- Ability to develop a particular skill in others to bring them up to a predetermined standard of work performance.
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
- Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Three years heavy industrial maintenance and management experience required.
- Electrical/mechanical knowledge and experience.
