Datacenter Operations – Network Technician Lead (Equity + $120K–$160K)

Futura Energy Group is partnering with a leading AI infrastructure innovator to hire a Network Technician Lead for next‑generation hyperscale AI data centers. This is a mission‑critical role with equity participation, giving you direct impact on high‑performance workloads for top labs, enterprises, and government initiatives.

Why This Role Matters:

You’ll serve as the on‑site escalation authority for network and structured cabling issues, ensuring high‑density AI infrastructure stays online. From troubleshooting fiber faults to validating repairs, your expertise keeps compute workloads running seamlessly and your team operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as Tier 2/3 escalation point for network and cable plant incidents.
  • Troubleshoot physical layer faults including fiber, transceivers, patch panels, and cabling defects.
  • Perform fiber inspection, cleaning, testing, and light‑level validation.
  • Execute structured cabling repairs and coordinate complex remediation with deployment teams.
  • Validate connectivity post‑repair using LLDP, interface diagnostics, and optical power checks.
  • Document incidents and upscale with clear summaries to Network Operations when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and Tier 1 technicians to improve triage and operational efficiency.
  • Build dashboards and metrics to monitor site performance and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in datacenter operations with structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, or network hardware support.
  • Proficiency with fiber troubleshooting tools (VFLs, power meters, inspection scopes).
  • Understanding of fiber types, connector standards, and datacenter optical thresholds.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and escalation skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to an assigned datacenter site.
  • Bonus: OTDR experience, BICSI or CCNA certification, exposure to high‑density GPU/HPC environments, DCIM familiarity, SQL/JQL reporting, experience with Arista, Juniper, Sonic, or Cisco.
