KCBD News Channel 11 is the NBC affiliate in Lubbock, Texas and the dominant #1 station in the market. KCBD is the number one news station in the area and provides a professional, family‑friendly workplace. The station operates 30 channels, including KCBD, KJTV, KXTQ, KLCW, and KMYL.

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing studio and editing equipment, as well as installing and maintaining computer equipment. This is a Monday‑Friday position with occasional weekend and night shifts. The team rotates on call weekly. Tanium experience is a plus. All engineering staff are on call 24/7 in case of emergency.

• Work with other departments and personnel, using strong people skills to resolve issues quickly.
• Apply expert knowledge of equipment, IT technology systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications on station computers. Knowledge of VMware is a plus.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and communicate with departments regarding those regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of capital projects.
• Maintain and operate new and existing equipment, including towers, transmitters, microwave, satellite, IT, and tenant installations.
• Install and remove rack equipment weighing 25–50 pounds (with assistance from another employee).
• Maintain knowledge of the latest operating systems, automation servers, and desktop operating systems (Linux is a plus).

• Knowledge of the engineering aspects of the technical facility, including studio support, post‑editing systems, field production support, and transmission of live / Vmix / OBS events and programs.
• Degree in IT / Broadcast Engineering or related experience is preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of VMware, Linux, and Windows environments.
