Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and dual adult and pediatric echo certification.

• Work in a children’s hospital with a Level II pediatric trauma center
• Pediatric echo lab performing approximately 5 exams per day
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Night and weekend call rotation required (weekends for call only)
• No floating between units, but floating to nearby sister facilities may be required
• Uses Epic EMR and Epic experience is required
• Duties include performing inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult echocardiograms
• All travelers are expected to float to facilities within the same state if needed
• Free parking is provided; bike racks are available
• Scrub color is galaxy blue or royal blue for RRTs
• All required modules must be completed pre-start and annually
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must request all time off up front during consideration
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers

• Minimum of 1 year echo experience required
• Certification in both adult and pediatric echo required; vascular certification preferred
• Valid state license required if applicable
• Must provide two supervisory references from within the last three years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Return staff must have a 3-month separation before eligibility
