Position Description

A graduate student in an institution within the Texas Tech University System employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Assist with project planning, data collection, and data analysis for a community-based implementation science research study (NIH funded) that is testing implementation strategies on a maternal health intervention.
  • Regular communication with the lead researchers and community partners.
  • Travel to rural and urban counties in the Texas Panhandle for recruitment, conducting interviews and focus groups, and participation in meetings;
    Mileage will be reimbursed.
Required Qualifications

Enrolled in the graduate program of an institution within the Texas Tech University System.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Previous experience with priority populations and/or community health/outreach.
  • Research experience (qualitative methods, data collection, analysis, dissemination).
  • Enrolled in a public health, health communications, health-related, or social sciences degree program.
