Family Medicine Patient Services Specialist – Midland

Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic patient flow and serving as the primary contact for patients. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork before patient visits, receiving patients, maintaining records, processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies, and maintaining related information for the department.

Employees may have cash‑handling responsibilities.

Major / Essential Functions
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Schedules patient appointments using computer systems, following clinic guidelines and processes.
  • Patient Check In and Check Out.
  • Ensures accurate and complete entry of patient information.
  • Collects patient co‑payments in cash, credit card, checks or money orders.
  • Provide expertise in insurance verification using online and phone systems.
  • Verifies insurance benefit eligibility for services.
