Major / Essential Functions- Advises leadership and committees on credentialing risks.
- Makes independent decisions on credentialing eligibility, file completeness and risk flags and escalation to medical staff leadership.
- Develops corrective action plans for compliance deficiencies
- Resolves non-routine or complex credentialing issues.
- Oversees credentialing and privileging processes. Serves as a subject-matter expert for department leadership.
- Retrieves, verifies, and maintains credentialing documentation obtained from primary sources.
- Develops, implements, and interprets credentialing policies and SOPs. Interprets and applies laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Participates in risk management, quality, and compliance initiatives.
- All other duties as assigned.

Preferred QualificationsComprehensive knowledge of provider credentialing and privileging requirements, demonstrated by 2+ years of direct responsibility for primary source verification, eligibility determinations, and file completion in compliance with state licensing boards, hospital medical staff bylaws, and departmental policies and procedures, across multiple provider types.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree plus four years of supervisory experience OR a combination of education and/or years of supervisory experience to equal a minimum of 8 years.
