The Stellar Family of Companies (“Stellar”) is a privately held, Texas-based, vertically integrated real estate investment firm specializing in investments and development of multifamily assets located across suburban U.S. markets. With more than 30 years of operating history and an experienced leadership team, Stellar manages the full investment lifecycle through in-house investment, development, construction, asset management, and property management capabilities.
The firm is actively scaling its fundraising platform and expanding its investor base across institutional, broker-dealer, private wealth and accredited investors.
Position OverviewThe Director will play a critical role within Stellar’s capital formation strategy, partnering closely with senior leadership to support fundraising across various investment vehicles, including Direct, Fund, and tax-advantaged offerings. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and closing capital commitments from investors while maintaining long-term investor relationships.
This role is well suited for a hands‑on capital raising professional who excels in relationship‑building, operates with a high degree of ownership, and is comfortable working in a lean, fast‑moving environment with significant accountability and visibility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead capital raising efforts across existing and new Limited Partner (LP) relationships.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for investors, managing communications, articulating investment strategy, and addressing diligence inquiries to support successful fundraising.
- Partner with marketing to develop and refine investor‑facing materials, including pitch decks, fund summaries, performance updates, and diverse engagement strategies.
- Coordinate with accounting and operations to support investor onboarding, distributions, tax reporting, and online account statements.
- Represent Stellar at industry conferences, investor meetings, and roadshows.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the launch of new investment products.
- Track and manage investor interactions, fundraising pipelines, and capital commitments to ensure accurate reporting and execution.
- Monitor investor feedback, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform fundraising strategy.
- Evaluate and improve investor processes to enhance retention, scalability, and overall investor experience.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate fundraising, investor relations, banking, or capital markets.
- Proven track record of successfully capitalizing real estate investments.
- Experience leading investor engagement and relationship management, including positioning investment strategies, addressing LP concerns, and supporting capital raises.
- Multifamily investment experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong negotiation, strategic thinker, communication, and relationship management skills.
