This position is reserved for use in Accounting Services or Research Services central offices.

About the Department

Accounting Services partners with the campus community to provide innovative solutions and guide resource allocation amid an increasingly complex regulatory environment. The department fosters sustainable excellence to steward resources for those it serves.

We are seeking a talented individual for our Compliance Team who will oversee subaward management on sponsored projects and ensure compliance with federal & state regulations and institutional policy. The role requires excellent organization, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the subrecipient risk assessment process by evaluating and determining subrecipient organizational, financial, and compliance risk; recommend risk level and outline special terms & conditions as needed.
  • Establish and maintain subaward encumbrances in the university financial system.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations on transparency by submitting monthly Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reports.
  • Facilitate subaward monitoring efforts and perform desk reviews; oversee assigned subaward compliance reviews.
  • Monitor federal and state updates as they apply to subawards and recommend subaward policy updates and process efficiencies based on changing requirements.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills. Ability to identify problems, evaluate options, implement solutions, and communicate effectively in writing. Demonstrated teamwork ability.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling five years.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Business‑related degree, CPA or candidate, CRA/CFRA/CPRA or candidate.
    • Experience in research administration, including federal regulations and institutional policy.
    • Experience working in TTU specific systems (Banner, FiTS, Tech Buy, BRS, Cognos, etc.).
