Collegiate Edu-Nation (CEN) is a statewide network that facilitates the transformation of rural student outcomes and rural workforce development by partnering with local school, community and business leaders to establish and support regionally relevant P‑20 education systems. CEN acts as an intermediary by connecting member school districts with training and resources in capacity building, intentional service supports, statewide networking, professional development and continuous improvement systems.

CEN focuses on a college and career vision of affordable access and educational attainment, integrating transformative educator development and providing exemplary technical support.

Edu‑REACH

The Edu‑REACH (Rural Education Achievement for Community Hope) program nurtures talent within rural communities by offering local adult students the opportunity to pursue degrees and certifications without relocation. It bridges the educational gap and bolsters local economies by enabling access to relevant post‑secondary education and apprenticeships in their respective communities.

Position Overview

The Community Impact Coordinator (CIC) is responsible for developing and operating CEN’s Year 13/14 P‑TECH program and coordinating adult education and workforce development opportunities. The CIC guides and supports adult learners, improving student retention, persistence and graduation rates.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate the planning, development and support of CEN’s continuing education division to meet the needs of the district and community.
  • Work with business and industry to assess needs and develop customized training.
  • Prepare and implement a comprehensive marketing plan under the direction of the Chief Partnerships Officer.
  • Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting and operational efficiency.
  • Develop templates and resources for 13/14 P‑TECH and Adult Learning Program.
  • Provide one‑on‑one coaching and support to 13/14 and adult college students, offering guidance and encouragement throughout their academic journey.
  • Collaborate with students to set personalized academic goals and develop action plans to achieve them; monitor and track progress regularly.
  • Assist students in selecting appropriate courses, majors and academic pathways based on interests, strengths and long‑term career aspirations.
  • Support adult learners in the education process including financial aid, course progress monitoring, registration and related tasks.
  • Help students secure internships/apprenticeships related to their field of study; monitor and track internships to ensure requirements are met and experience is gained.
  • Connect students with campus resources and support services such as tutoring, counseling and career services to enhance academic success and personal development.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with local businesses, organizations and industry professionals to create internship and employment opportunities.
  • Identify potential business partners that align with students’ academic programs and career goals; initiate contact, conduct meetings and negotiate partnership agreements.
  • Attend industry events, career fairs and community gatherings to promote CEN’s 13/14 and Adult Learning Program.
  • Represent CEN professionally and communicate the benefits of partnering.
  • Work closely with faculty, staff and internship partners to align academic programs with industry needs, ensuring students are prepared for the workplace.
  • Track success and outcomes of business partnerships, including placement rates, student satisfaction and employer feedback; use data to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in ongoing evaluation of college completion programs and initiatives, recommending improvements based on student feedback and outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information encountered during business operations, including details related to students and supervisors.
