Comm Family Addict Sciences CFAS

The Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences (CFAS) in the College of Health & Human Sciences (CHHS) at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies (ADRS) program, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. We welcome all applicants with a strong research program in any area of addiction.

Candidates with strong research programs in the various areas of addiction that also complement the current work of ADRS faculty will be considered. The ADRS faculty are particularly interested in candidates whose research programs focus on addiction in rural populations, as well as treatment and recovery from addiction. Candidates who have a strong background in longitudinal, quantitative, and/or biomarker methodology, as well as human neuroscience, are especially encouraged to apply.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate evidence of strong research productivity or a clear path to developing an impactful research program supported by extramural funding, as well as possess the ability to mentor graduate student research. The successful applicant will be appointed at a rank commensurate with their experience and research productivity, limited to either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
