The Teacher works as a team member to provide a safe and secure environment to enhance a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development as part of Texas Rising Star. The Teacher is responsible for co‑teaching with other educators in the center, organizing and planning a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the center’s philosophy and Texas Rising Star guidelines.

Full time - Shifts:
Day (Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM) - This is an onsite position; you will report onsite daily as scheduled.

Lubbock, TX (commutable distance to Covenant Medical Center)
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education – OR – a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or Human Development.
- Background Check Clearance by the TX Department of Social Services upon hire.
- No convictions related to child abuse, offenses against persons, sexual offenses, child neglect, felony offenses involving controlled substances, or any other offenses bearing substantial relation to the qualifications, functions, or duties of an employee of a child care facility.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching in a licensed childcare facility caring for children 6 months up to 18 months of age in a Texas Child Care Facility licensed within the last two years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role; caregivers must comply with all state laws and requirements for driving, provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $16.14 – $24.69 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
