- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
- Perform multi‑point inspections on pre‑owned vehicles.
- Recondition vehicles per used‑car manager authorization.
- Maintain accountability for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals.
- Drain oil from crankcase and refill with the required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well‑informed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Previous experience as a service technician required.
- Strong automotive background.
- Manufacturer ASE certifications preferred.
- Submit to and successfully complete an MVR, background check, and pre‑employment drug test.
- Valid driver’s license.
