DC Corporate Assistant III – O’Reilly Auto Parts
Provide assistance to the DC departments by performing various clerical duties. Serve as an assistant to the immediate supervisor and assist the DC manager with all aspects of clerical support needed to efficiently maintain the operation of the distribution center.
Essential Job Functions- Input daily shipments received and ensure the accuracy of the entry.
- Log and assign batch numbers to incoming shipments.
- Maintain the UPS/RPS log book, audit entries for errors, and make corrections.
- Make bin location changes as needed.
- Assist the receiving department in scheduling and coordinating inbound freight.
- Maintain the reserve location system.
- Assist the returns department with clerical duties, primarily key‑punching store credits, issuing customer credits, and maintaining core, warranty, and rebox tallies.
- Check credit edit report for errors.
- Make corrections, clear, and file all pick tickets.
- Call stores on all zeroed items and keep an accurate log.
- Research order picker accuracy.
- Key over/short report and productivity forms.
- Initiate computer system and distribute reports daily.
- Answer phones and greet visitors.
- Distribute messages and inter‑office mail.
- Make copies as needed and order and maintain office supplies.
- Assist with production of weekly FYI publication.
- Serve as a backup for the immediate supervisor, taking on various tasks as needed to maintain the operation of the distribution center.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Proficient in ten‑key, data entry, and mid‑range computer systems
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly
- Proficient in PC basic programs for word processing and spreadsheets
- Team‑oriented and works well(Pos) in a team environment
Desired:
- Proficient in AS400 programs and system operations
- Two or more years of experience in the automotive industry or warehouse operations
- Previous clerical experience
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
