We currently have an opportunity to join our Recycling and Waste Operations team as a Workforce Development Co‑ordinator.

Your role :
  • To act as a designated Competent Person for promoting health and safety practices within the Recycling and Waste Team. This includes providing advice, guidance, support, and training on all matters relating to health and safety, and operational activities, and monitoring compliance. To plan, deliver, and record toolbox talks and other safety‑related briefings, ensuring crews are informed, trained, and able to work safely and effectively.
  • To support the upskilling of the existing workforce by identifying training needs and providing guidance to help staff achieve and maintain required competencies.
  • To assist with onboarding and induction of new recruits to the service, ensuring they receive the necessary health and safety training, operational knowledge, and ongoing support to perform their roles safely and confidently.
What you will need:
  • You will have health and safety knowledge and awareness and hold a Cat 2 driving licence and up‑to‑date CPC.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
