A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Suffolkebilirsiniz County Council's 0-19 Healthy Child Service as a Health Visitor, working across various teams throughout Suffolk.
Corten>Our Health (0-19) and Children's Centre teams provide services for parents, carers, children and young people, focusing on prevention and early intervention to support children, young people and their families to achieve their best outcomes. Health Visitors lead the Healthy Child Programme (DoH, 2009) for children 0-5 years of age, delivering both universal and targeted services tailored to individual needs.

Your role and responsibilities- work directly with families to support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of expectant parents, babies, and children from pregnancy to age 5
- lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (0-5), assessing, planning, supervising, and delivering high-quality care, and evaluating outcomes in partnership with families
- provide universal contacts at key milestones and enhanced support for families on targeted and specialist pathways, as outlined in our Standard Operating Procedures and clinical governance framework
- work in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and maintain your NMC registration
- safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults through effective practice and multi‑agency working, including participation in safeguarding meetings and relevant assessments
- supervise and support junior staff and collaborate with partners and agencies to ensure joined‑up, responsive support.
- to be a qualified Health Visitor or nearing completion
- NMC registration as an adult, paediatric, mental health, learning disability nurse, or midwife
- strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
- the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
