PE Teacher – Full-time, temporary, long-term cover from November 2025

This full-time PE Teacher role begins in November 2025 and offers ongoing cover at a well-supported secondary school. The school provides a calm and inclusive learning environment where pupils are respectful and eager to learn. Staff are proud to work there, and leaders are committed to continuous improvement. Pupils benefit from a broad curriculum and strong pastoral support, helping them to feel safe and thrive academically and personally.

Duties

as PE Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during practical activities
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
  • Support pupils’ physical development and promote healthy lifestyles
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver extracurricular sports activities
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school community
Ideal PE Teacher:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching PE in secondary schools
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills as a PE Teacher
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Enthusiastic about inspiring young people through sport and physical education
