School Van Drivers – Greater Lowell Area

ACCEPT provides exceptional transportation services to our districts and their students. Our drivers are critical to our success. ACCEPT drivers provide safe and reliable transportation of special needs students.

ACCEPT Transportation is seeking part‑time 7‑D Van Drivers and Van Monitors to transport students with disabilities to and from school. These are split‑shift positions. Drivers must hold a valid Massachusetts license for 3 years. ACCEPT will assist you in obtaining a 7‑D license. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, must pass a CORI/SORI check, fingerprint screen, and drug screening.

The salary is $21.00 per hour to start and can be higher based on years of experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport students to and from school or educational setting based on assigned routes.
  • Assist students to safely enter and exit the vehicle as needed.
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with all Federal and State traffic laws.
  • Complete documentation and record keeping, required by ACCEPT and the State.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
  • 3 or more years of general driving experience.
  • Active driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • 7‑D preferred, but not required (ACCEPT will assist in obtaining).
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen, CORI, and other background checks.
  • Must enjoy working with children, and always possess the ability to show patience and empathy.
Schedule
  • 20–30 hours per week (possibility of going up to 40 hours per week).
  • Hours and a work schedule are determined on an annual basis (for each school year), including summers.
  • Preferred but not required to work both morning and afternoon shifts daily (split shift).
