Overview
Hourly Pay Rate $51.44
Location Lowell Massachusetts
Key Accountabilities- Responsible for working at various locations as requested
- Availability for overnight travel as needed.
- Availible to work weekends, holidays and rotating extended shifts.
- Work year round in harsh outdoor environments.
- Operates and maintains portable LNG vaporizers and associated equipment.
- Having a thorough knowledge of basic principles of A.C. and D.C. electricity and applying knowledge by working from electrical diagrams and sketches in the testing, repair and troubleshooting of controls.
- Using such types of testers as ohmmeters, voltmeter, and ammeter, analog and digital testing equipment
- May work on or near energized circuits or equipment.
- Adjusting, repairing, calibrating and installing automatic control equipment involving a thorough knowledge of production plant and the relationship and function of control and measuring equipment.
- Install, repair, update and reload PLCs, remote PCs and other transmitting technological equipment
- Maintains buildings, equipment and facilities as required and in conformance with Departmental procedures, including parts replacement, equipment repair, instrument adjustment, and equipment overhaul in accordance with established schedules or as needed.
- Maintains inventories of spare parts and materials in an orderly manner.
- Records and evaluates operating data and initiates corrective action to maintain required performance of Plant equipment. Alerts supervision to potential problems and failures.
- Participates in continuous, routine training for operations, maintenance, security and fire protection to stay qualified for this classification per DOT, State and local regulations.
- May work near energized circuits and/or equipment
- Preparing sketches, charts and graphs. Read, interpret plans, drawings and specifications for above work.
- Performing similar or less skilled work as may be assigned.
- Utilizes Company and manufacturers' technical information to perform these activities.
- Follows Company and Regulatory procedures and practices to perform these activities.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform these activities.
- Operates department motor vehicles.
- Completes required paperwork/computer work
- Attend training sessions on equipment and be responsible for retaining material covered
- Directs and trains those who assist him/her
- Must be a licensed electrician in the state of MA
- A minimum of 4 years of LNG experience is preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word ect.)
- Industrial experience preferred
- High School degree or Equivalent required
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Capable of understanding the regulatory requirements for operation, maintenance, fire protection and security of portable LNG equipment and be able to legibly and accurately record data and complete reports. Health and physical condition conforming to DOT regulatory requirements for personnel assigned to this classification (49 CFR Part
193.2711). - Able to meet the training qualifications specified by DOT for personnel assigned to this classification (49 CFR Part 193.2713, 2715 and 2717).
- Able to meet Operator Qualification requirements associated with LNG Plants and portable equipment.
- Must possess the appropriate valid motor vehicle license/certification to operate Departmental vehicles.
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to work extra and/or irregular hours
- Applicant must maintain a motor vehicle license required to operate vehicles and equipment associated with the job classification
