Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Lowell, MA. The Program Director will oversee operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality services, and lead a dedicated team in providing support to residents. Responsibilities include program development, staff management, coordination of services, compliance with regulations, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and building relationships with community partners and stakeholders. The role requires a strong commitment to the mission and vision of The O’Connell House.
Qualifications- Program management and leadership experience, including strategic planning and program development
- Strong skills in team management, staff supervision, and fostering professional growth
- Experience with compliance, regulatory oversight, and maintaining operational standards
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with community organizations and stakeholders
- Crisis management skills and ability to provide guidance in challenging situations
- Proficiency in maintaining organized records and producing financial reports (budget, forecast, P&L, monthly run rates, and quarterly board reports)
- Previous experience in social services, trauma-informed care, or related fields
- Master's degree preferred, in Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology/Mental Health or a related field is preferred
